Domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness for women and children.
Our Domestic Violence Housing First approach focuses on getting survivors of domestic violence into stable housing as quickly as possible, and then providing the necessary support as they rebuild their lives. As programs across Washington State and nationally have been implementing Domestic Violence Housing First, we have been evaluating its implementation and impact and are thrilled to share that we just had an article—authored by Dr. Cris Sullivan et al.—published in the American Journal of Community Psychology!
Evaluation in the Real World describes the methodology used to evaluate the Domestic Violence Housing First approach. Learn what went into developing this longitudinal, multi-method, multi-source research design and the challenges encountered along the way. Check it out!
