Important Apple Health Updates for Advocates and Survivors

Survivors rely on resources like Apple Health (Medicaid) for the health and wellbeing of themselves and their children, but updates to the renewal process mean that survivor households could lose coverage if they don’t take action.

During the pandemic, Apple Health (Medicaid) eligibility was renewned automatically to ensure continuous coverage. As of March 31, 2023, this automatic renewal has ended. Everyone on Medicaid will need to confirm their residential address and income eligibility. If survivors do not update their information, they and their children will lose coverage.

Individuals and families receiving Apple Health (Medicaid) should make sure their information is updated as soon as possible. Options for updating this information include:

  • Online: Go to Washington Healthplanfinder – log in and select “Report a change in income or household” under Quick Links.
  • Phone: Call the Washington Healthplanfinder Customer Support Center at 1-855-923-4633.
  • Email: askmagi@hca.wa.gov
  • Paper: Submit verification of address and income to: HCA-MEDS, PO Box 45531, Olympia WA 98504

Apple Health clients can learn more about updating their information here. For additional information, visit the Washington Health Care Authority’s website.
