Calling all advocates who care about how public policy impacts survivors of abuse! Join us in making our voices heard in Olympia during the 2020 state legislative session.
We’re doing our annual Domestic Violence Advocacy Day a little differently this year. Instead of meeting in-person in Olympia on one specific day, we’re experimenting with a new menu of options to amplify our collective voices in policy advocacy. Participate in any or all of the options below:
- Legislative Session Kick-Off Webinar, Monday, January 13, 2020. Hear about WSCADV’s legislative priorities and learn how you can get involved. Learn more & register.
- Virtual Advocacy Day, Tuesday, January 28, 2020. Instead of meeting in-person in Olympia this year, we’ll be convening virtually. Join this webinar to learn about policy issues that impact survivors, and be part of a collective action from the comfort of your own home/office! Learn more & register.
- WSCADV-supported Legislator Visits in Olympia, February 3-14, 2020. Do you want to meet your legislators in-person to talk about our legislative priorities and survivors’ safety and dignity? Email action@wscadv.org by January 31 and we’ll set up your appointment(s), prep you, and accompany you on your visit. Please write “legislator visit” in the subject line of your email, and include your name, the day you would like to go to Olympia (in the date range of February 3-14), and your legislative district. If you don’t know your district, you can look it up here. If you work at a WSCADV member program please include that program name in your email as well.
Let’s come together and make a big impact for survivors of domestic violence!
