Advocating for the Educational Rights of Immigrant Students in Washington

This webinar will explore some of the issues impacting immigrant students in Washington state, including disparate school discipline and push out, insufficient supports for students who are pregnant and parenting, insufficient supports for homeless or transient students, and lack of access for parents whose primary language is not English. It will provide information about these issues in Washington and nationwide, identify the legal protections available to students and families, and discuss ways that community advocates can support students and families confronting barriers to education.
