Advocating for survivor families involved with the child welfare system can be complicated and heart-breaking for families and advocates. How do we bring our boldest advocacy to a flawed system on behalf of survivors and their children?
The training content overview includes:
- An interactive day focused on practical knowledge and skills for dv advocates supporting survivors who at risk of CPS involvement or who are involved.
- Best practices regarding mandatory reporting.
- Best practices supporting survivors when parenting issues and child safety are concerns.
- Best practices to begin or deepen community collaborations to support families.
