Virtual Advocacy Day 2021
February 11, 2021 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Join us as we advocate for domestic violence survivors and their families in Washington State! This year’s advocacy day is virtual, but this past year has taught us that connection is more important than ever. We can’t wait to connect with you to share how we’re advocating for survivors this year and how you can get involved.
We’ll kick-off our day with a webinar from 9-11am where you will hear our policy priorities and learn about ways to take action from home. If you do not have interpretation requests and do not want to meet with your legislators, you have no registration deadline.
Optional legislative appointments are from 12-4pm. Legislative appointments will be virtual 15-minute meetings with other attendees in your district. Legislative staff generally set the appointments the week of, which is why we are asking you to hold 12-4pm. Our goal is to set up a meeting with all three of your district’s legislators or their staffers (1 Senator, 2 Representatives). We cannot guarantee a meeting with all of your legislators, but will do our very best! If you want to meet with your legislators, please register by January 28, 2021 and indicate below.
This is a lobbying event; you will not receive training hours for attending.
