Studies show that domestic violence is a leading cause of homelessness. The Domestic Violence Housing First approach prioritizes getting survivors of domestic violence into stable housing as quickly as possible and then providing the support they need to rebuild their lives.
We are thrilled to announce an investment of two million dollars to research the effectiveness of Domestic Violence Housing First. This funding from the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services and the U.S. Department of Justice is a huge step forward for the fields of homelessness prevention and domestic violence advocacy.
