Housing Justice Summit: Access + Advocacy + Resources
June 8, 2021 @ 9:00 am – June 9, 2021 @ 12:00 pm
Housing is a human right! Yet, how can we advocate for survivors in their search for safe and stable housing, much less implement a DV Housing First approach when there are no affordable housing options? And for survivors from BIPOC communities, the barriers to housing, based in a long history of deep-rooted discrimination, are even higher.
Join WSCADV’s Linda Olsen and Angie Pacheco, Executive Director of Domestic Violence Services of Benton-Franklin, as we
- Name the root causes of housing discrimination;
- Deepen advocacy skills for housing search and retention; and
- Identify a range of housing approaches and resources.
This will be a peer learning opportunity, so come with knowledge to share. We will also have guests who are experts in their areas of housing to augment Angie’s extensive knowledge and experience. This Summit will earn attendees 14 training hours, 10 hours of live training, 4 hours of self-study.
