In-Person Gender-Based Violence Prevention Collaborative Meeting
September 30 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm
Keep the momentum going following WSCADV’s annual conference in Yakima by joining us on September 30th from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm!
During our time together, we will explore what prevention looks like in the aftermath of harm. What does restoration look like in practice rather than theory? How can prevention practitioners support accountability while holding space for community healing? How can moments of crisis become catalysts for lasting change?
This gathering will continue the conversation from a workshop at our annual conference facilitated by Heidi Jackson, Executive Director of The DOVE Project on Vashon Island. Through both the workshop and our collaborative meeting discussion, Heidi will share how The DOVE Project partnered with their local school district to respond to harm, support restoration efforts, and advance systems change using a prevention lens. Together, we’ll move beyond concepts and into practice, exploring real-world examples, tools, skills, and frameworks that help communities navigate harm with courage, accountability, and hope.
