Advocacy 102 in English

April 29 @ 9:00 am 5:00 pm

Advocacy 102 is for advocates and managers that have been in DV work for two or more years.

Many of you have participated in Advocacy for Rookies 101, so let’s take our skills to the next level and talk about Advocacy 102. In this training we will cover screening and intake, best practices, de-escalation in shelter settings, reviewing and reconsidering shelter and program rules, maximizing community resources, support groups, services and supports for children of DV program participants, mentoring and WAC requirements applicable to shelter and non-residential programs. Join WSCADV as we discuss the next level of Advocacy work. This training will be especially beneficial for senior advocates wanting to learn more about deepening your skills and expertise!

This program is open to WSCADV Member Programs. Lunch will be served.

Registration Fee: $81.38 ($75.00 + tax)*
Member programs have two free registrations – enter your program code when registering.

Credit hours: This training is worth seven (7.5) credit hours.
