Survivors need safety plans that consider abuser-generated risks and systems-generated risks. Often times, a survivor’s immigration status prevents her from being safe, free and valued. Advocates are uniquely positioned to reach survivors, offer services, and to assist them in navigating systems. Learn or deepen your advocacy practices to meet the unique needs of individual survivors as well as to effectively navigate systems that impact immigrant survivor’s legal options.
